Mott MURI Review & Oxide Interfaces Meeting

August 7 - 9, 2012

The goal of the workshop is to bring together active researchers in the field of complex oxide and 2D heterostructures to promote the exchange scientific ideas, to encourage collaborations and discussions through oral presentations and discussions.  Of particular interest to this workshop are interfaces in which strong electron correlations result in unique phenomena.  Their understanding requires the collaborative effort of an interdisciplinary community that this workshop will aim at bringing together. The specific scientific topics to be addressed in this workshop are the understanding of unique transport phenomena of interfaces, novel approaches to their physical and structural characterization and the development of theoretical understanding and novel device that utilize these phenomena.  The workshop will bring together both experimentalists and theorists working in this important field.
